Noah's Ark

Noah’s Ark

An ancient legend says that the garnet carbuncle was fixed on the mast of Noah’s Ark and lighted up its voyage day and night. From this time the garnet is considered as amulet for travelers.

The word garnet is from the Latin word “granatum,” which means pomegranate, and was named for it’s similarity to pomegranate seeds.  While most people associate garnet gemstones with their ruby red color, there are also other varieties, including the green grossular garnet.

Garnet gemstones are useful for manifesting abundance and prosperity.  They are powerful stones of attraction and are said to increase fertility and sexual desire.   Garnet encourages love and devotion, and encourage commitment in relationships.
