Nights in Rodanthe-earthegy Meets the Sea

“The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea.”Baroness Karen Blixen

A week’s recent stay at this beautiful spot inspired an entire new line…seashells and pearls.    Is it even possible to walk a beach without finding a treasure?…This time not from the land, but the tides that wash up on the Rodanthe beaches.  The sea’s jewels are infinite, and the beach’s inventory changes daily.   These pendants have stories in their past, further than we can imagine.  Some were handpicked with love by my young niece, who gently blew the sand away to evaluate their worthiness for you.  Some were discovered on a nighttime walk by my brother in law, chosen by what he saw in them that appeared in the moonlight.  Some were picked up by me, scouting for the most perfect shapes and colors, curious about their travels through the oceans and former inhabitants.  Each piece and shell are individual and can never be duplicated.  Each comes with a long lived life of salt and sand…and I hope to bring to you the serenity of the sea, and an appreciation for the uniqueness of her treasures.

“We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea—whether it is to sail or to watch it—we are going back from whence we came.– John F. Kennedy
